We are pleased to announce that Mike Waddell, PE has joined our firm, as our Structures Manager and Senior Associate.
Mike brings over 36 years of experience in the management, design, inspection and construction of transportation, civil and transit related structures throughout Florida and the US. He has a strong background in bridge engineering, including interstate & off-system bridges, multi-level interchanges, major water crossings, transit & rail bridges, and pedestrian facilities. Mike will be integral to the development, growth and technical support of our structural capabilities throughout the state.
Highlights of Mike’s project accomplishments include I-95 Fuller Warren Bridge Replacement in Jacksonville, I-4 Widening & Bridge Replacements over the St. John’s River in Seminole and Volusia counties, Maitland Boulevard Extension SR 414 / SR 429 interchange in Orange County, Western Way over environmentally sensitive Reedy Creek in Orange County (using top down construction methodology), DART LRT Blueline Extension in Dallas, TX, US 290 Elevated Managed Lanes in Houston, TX and the Safe & Sound Statewide Bridge Replacement program in Missouri (accelerated replacement of 554 bridges).
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Southern Technical Institute, a division of Georgia Tech, and is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Texas.
